Mendoza River Rafting is the perfect activity for adrenaline and adventure lovers. The river originates in the Andes and flows naturally to the Potrerillos Dam, where our adventure begins. We’ll depart from Mendoza to Potrerillos, where we’ll navigate this major river with high water volume and world-class rapids ranging from Class II to III+. Suitable for all levels, no prior rafting experience is needed. You can choose a half-day trip, covering 12 km of the river in summer or 8 km in winter, or opt for a full-day adventure with a Box Lunch, rafting nearly 30 km downstream from Cerro Negro (summer only). Mendoza River Rafting starts at 11:00 am, with hotel pick-up in central Mendoza beginning at 9:00 am. We’ll head west to Potrerillos, where our base is located. From there, depending on the chosen option, we’ll drive upstream to the starting point. A safety briefing will cover basic movements, teamwork, and rafting guidelines. Though challenging, the river is safe for anyone who can swim, guided by expert instructors and a lead kayak. After gearing up with wetsuits, life jackets, helmets, and paddles, we’ll be ready to face the exciting rapids. The adventure will be thrilling, full of fast currents and splashing water. After the adrenaline-packed ride, we’ll return to the base to change and relax. Half-day option:** Starting at Campamento Los Árboles, you'll raft 12 km in summer or 8 km in winter, enjoying Class II and III rapids in about 1 hour, then return to Mendoza. Full-day option: Available in summer, starting at Cerro Negro. You’ll raft 30 km, taking on Class III and III+ rapids over 3.5 hours, with free time and a box lunch by the river before heading back to Mendoza around 7:00 pm.
